Rigid Diaphragm Without Thickness

Hello People

I would like to model a rigid diaphragm but not as a slab, just the diaphragm. Because I would like to place the weight of the slab as a dead load and I dont know if t = 0 is enough to do that.

Regards.

Just Change the panel calculation model from shell (default) to rigid diaphragm. It's on FE toolbar.
Never tried , but Probably not possible to create a panel with zero thickness. And certainly it would not be very rigid . 🙂
Best way to not consider weight for any type of object(bar or panel) is to create material ( job preferences) with weight density equal to zero.
2nd option would be set own weight only for selected elements instead than for all (default)
