Reinforcement beam

Hi, I am new to Robot and I'm trying to design a RC beam. The steel reinforcement gives me 2 #5 on the bottom layer and 2 steels #6 on the top layer. How I can set three steels #5 on the top layer instead of the 2 #6?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Edit in the rebar settings the reinforcement diameter of rebars and the maximum distance between them.

Hi, I guess you mean where it says "Preferred bar spacing (in)"; already did that, i mean, uncheck the box that says "Emin" but just keeps coming. I even stuck in "Calculation options" bars to # 5 and what it does is put 2 layers 2 steels # 5. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Thank you very much anyway Stefano, but I managed to do it. How? Entering "Typical reinforcement" you can make the design you want, of course you have to know certain parameters before, like the distance for the distributions of the stirrups.
Once again thank you.

Could you attach the file and a screen capture with the intended distribution of reinforcement please?

Hi, please find attached the picture you asked. Let me know if that you wanted.

My understanding was that you wanted Robot to design reinforcement in according to a certain pattern. What you attached is the definition of the reinforcement distribution "by hand". Cold toy attach rtd file with the beam you want to design?

This is the file.

Thanks for your time

The reinforcement generator tries to arrange main reinforcement in such a way the number of reinforcement columns for both top and bottom rebars is the same (in order to be able to generate 4-leg stirrups or pins). For this beam when you force #5 bars at the bottom and #6 bars at the top you will have 4#6 at the top (grouped by 2 in each of the corners). The you can delete one of them and move the other to the center of the beam.

Hi Artur

I am having the same problem but I don't know how to fix it. I want 5H12 at top and bottom when I adjust the EMIN and EMAX I can get 4H12 and 6H12 but 5H12 gives me an error.

Regards
