Rc column

Hello

My case is RC column desgin. My coordinate system has been changed when I move to provided reinforcement of RC elements! Why?

I can also observe that the deformation is very little! Where is my mistake?

I attached my file.

Thanks

I'm not sure if I understand the situation correctly. Could you attach some screen captures that illustrate it in more detailed way? Thank you.

Hi

Can you check if the displacement (8mm) is correct for this RC column in
the attached file? I got (34mm) as a displacement in another software?

The value of 8 mm you refer to seems to be the value of the imperfection rather than the displacement. The RC Design module in Robot doesn't calculate displacements as in most of the cases they are 'influenced' by the behavior of the whole structure (building).

Hi

What about beam and slab deflection? Will such deflection be calculated in
Robot or not?

Is is very strange that Robot can't calculate the displacement! When I made
the column longer, I got lager displacement! Are you sure that (8mm) is not
the displacement. Is there any error on my model??

Yes, they are.

If you create your column as the part of the model you will have the access to both displacements of the top and bottom nodes of the column as well as its deformation along the height. Mind that in such case the material of the column is assumed as elastic (uncracked) unless you make the corresponding modification of the column moment of inertia.
