Query on seismic base shear

Hi All,

Please find the tables from the attached file, modal analysis results are available but the reactions for Modal seismic case are not available. Im not clear where it went wrong please advice.

Regards,

Abdul Faees.

I think you missed the point what is mass percentage filtering in seismic case:

http://docs.autodesk.com/RSAPRO/2014/ENU/index.html?url=filesROBOT/GUID-E12CC379-7C35-4EC2-BD49-9DF7...

You do not have any single mode with mass over 90% so no modes were considered in seismic calculations

Rafal,

 Please clarify me,

1. I have converted dynamic masses only in X & Y direction - Is it ok

2. Converted cases are 1, 2, & 5, if you check the reactions of these case & the masses considered for base shear, why is the base shear value is higher??

Regards,

Abdul Faees.

OK

Where do you see it?

I see

case1 sum of reactions 413178,93 kN

case2 sum of reactions 280266,13 kN

case5 sum of reactions 11002,77 kN

sum total                        704447.8 kN

base shear case1116  55258.37 -> 7.8% of sum above
