Problem with transfering robot model to revit with user's profiles databases

Hi, I can't really share a model here, so I will try to explain an issue I have encountered and my ideas where it might be coming from.

I have a Robot model that has floors and columns that transfer correctly to the Revit both via transfer and via smxx file. I have noticed however that most of the beams do not. They have one thing in common. My company made simplified profiles for those beams - in reality it is not one steel beam but several connected elements, not one bar. They created a specific profiles database for those simplified bars to simulate how the whole group would behave. The problem is - I think - that the Revit those not recognize those profiles and does not transfer beams at all.

Is there a way to create a database for revit so the full transfer would be possible? Or maybe I am mistaken and an issue lays somewhere else? If you have any ideas, please share.

HI @kmackowska

Sections from User database cannot be exported from Robot to Revit (it regards compound sections as well)

It is necessary to export geometry (with rehular sections) then chang sections in Revit to required (user defined ) families.

Follow the steps:

  1. Temporarily (just before exporting to Revit) replace such sections by standard ones (existing in both software like I,or L).
  2. Export model from Robot Structural Analysis to Revit.
  3. Change sections back to correct ones in Revit.
