Please Check Soil Level With Reference to Location of Loaded Objects

Morning All,

I am working on a retaining wall design in Autodesk Robot (I am still new to it but I love what I have seen so far) using the tutorial at the YouTube link provided below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMqcW3Zj7GU

I keep getting the 'Defined loads have not been assigned to the selected objects.  Please check soil level with reference to location of loaded objects." error message (see screenshot below).

I have tried modelling the wall in a number of ways including as a full 3D building design with the vertical height defined by stories and using the shell design option with the height defined by Z coordinates to no avail.  I found a previous discussion on this topic (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/robot-structural-analysis-forum/soil-pressure-problem/m-p/6520099#M46... I checked and rechecked the soil level and I am pretty confident that the soil level input matches the global co-ordinate system (see attached screenshot below).

I have also tried pulling the wall up out of the ground (i.e. set the bottom of the wall as 0 m with the top level at 4.0 m) and similarly with the soil level however the end result is the same.  I have also tried simplifying to just a single soil layer and the result is still the same.

I am sure the solution is so simple that I will feel stupid but I would greatly appreciate any help that the group can provide.

Arthur,

Thanks for your suggestion.  I confirm that have already tried that both by typing the panel number of which there is only one and also mouse selecting.

My model along with the soil profile are attached.

Artur,

Thanks for you suggestion but I had already fiddle with that setting several times and got nowhere!  I even eliminated the layered profile several times and replaced it with a single layer setting with the top of it set at 4 m and 0 m and also adjusted the wall several times such that the top of the wall was set at  0 m extending down to -4 m and still could not get it to work.

Hi Arthur,

Happy new year!  Thanks for taking the time to put together the screen capture video.  I will go through it and see how I go and mark as solved when finished!

Arthur,

Worked a treat!  Can't believe the only thing I was doing wrong was I was clicking on the panel as opposed to the top edge!  All that frustration as a result of one simple rookie error!!

Anyway, all sorted for the next time.  Thanks for that
