numbering of nodes and import nodal forces from excel

hello guys,

i just wanted to ask about two things, first of all is numbering the nodes.

i know that there is a numbering tool in robot for both bars and nodes, but i just cant use it adequately in order to have the same order of nodes as in the images below.

numbering 1.PNGnumbering 2.PNG

another question that i have is, if i modeled a raft that supports many columns, and then i wanted to apply nodal loads upon the upper nodes of each column, now i have the load values tabulated in excel, can i easily just copy the loads from excel to robot (in loads table) because it cant seem to work with me, or maybe i'm doing something wrong..

thank you in advance

Hi @Anonymous

For your first question, you can use numbering tool from Geometry menu > Numbering.

You can then get your nodes numbered as the attached photo by typing 1 at node number and select your nodes one then another manually, that will let you number your nodes with any arrangement you want.Untitled.png

For your second question,

I think it can't be done.

but you can delete the supports and draw the raft at the base.

That will give the same result.

thanks for your reply

but numbering the columns manually can be rather time consuming if there were plenty of them

Yup, i think it's your only option you can use.

If you choose standard numbering and the points, it will start numbering from the lower left node , row by row and that isn't the result you want.
