I am trying to do a non-linear analysis of a structure such as the one in the attached image. There are bar elements attached to shell elements by rigid links.
When performing the analysis, no convergence is reached. I have only changed the section to elasto-plastic of those bar elements which utilization ratios from the elastic analysis were over 1.
I have set a small load increment, increased tolerances for residual loads, and increased the number of iterations to 100 but nothing seems to work.
I am not sure if this is due to very high loads or due to a modelling problem. I would be very grateful if you could give me some tips.
