Hi all,
Why do I get small moments at the edge of this simply supported plate?; see attached image below.
I have rigid supports and only vertical loads at its end (line supports are simple and roller). I have only vertical reactions - no horizontal or moment reactions. The picture shows values of the 'map' complex moment in the x-direction. The plate is 1x1 m and has a mesh size of 0,05 m, so fairly refined.
Maybe you are displaying the wrong moment. Can you zip and attach your model?
