Model warnings

Hi

I'm new to robot and I have taken an structure from revit and put it in to Robot - so I can use it for stresses etc. But every time I try and run an analysis of my structure, it gives me warnings and errors:

- Not a BODY Get

- Isolated node/nodes have been found

- Incoherent mesh on edges

- Separate structure

- Instability problems

I have already tried to follow some of the guides/answers in these different forums that concern my problems - but it dosen't seem to work.

Can someone please help? (I have attached my file)

Thanks, Kasper.

I am afraid you have to remodel it without ACIS.

If you want to make any design you have to remodel it using panels (\shell finite elements) and bars instead of volumetric elements.

So it isnt possible to take a model from revit and put into robot? Or should I have done it in a different way?

Yes, just do it.
BTW: have you sent model from revit? What effect?

I can't sent it from revit to robot (by revit) because i'm missing the option: "Robot Structual Analisys Link" - I only have "Reinforcement Code Check".

So i'm still using the .sat file - but i'm not sure how to remodel it, because the structure is taken from revit and is not made from robot.

I'm trying to sent a new construction from revit to robot - but when i'm trying to do it - a new box arrive afterwards: "Mapping of elements" and it says not all the elements have been assigned. What should I do?

You have to assign section from Robot database(s) to the section name from Revit -> press "Not Assigned" button in each row ....

But it is only a standard selection - none of mine are there?

It seems you have not any of them in Robot.

Create such section in Robot Section Definition (Section Builder) module, save to database or use any standard \ similar ones instead and then assign it correctly while importing model from Revit.

Okay. If i want to make a structure like in the picture - do I have to do it from scratch or is it possible to download some "help-construction" which I can remodel somewhere?

Example:

- save section view from family editor as dxf

- open it is Section Definition module (mind correct units) in Robot

- assign material

- calculate properties

- save section to database

.......
