Incoherent mesh

Dear all,

Can you take a look to model in attachement? I already applied all tricks i knew but i'm always getting incoherent mesh and just don't know how to solve it.

Thanks in advance,

RR

I would try to replace the cones defined as objects (which imposes meshing that cannot adjust to Kang used for the neighbouring panels) with flat panels in the way shown below.

Thanks Artur, i will try it.

In that option, bottom slab should not be a perfect circular shape, right? I predict some issues on define lower segment on flat slabs that you suggested.

Best regards,

RR

From the 2nd RSA webinar on meshing:

"The most likely cause of incoherent meshes along arches is that they were defined in different ways.  They should have the same center as well as origin and end points and they should have the same number of divisions. "

If you watch it there is an example where you can see how to make them to be coherent Smiley Wink

I would consider defining the top edge of the red panel I indicated previously as an arch with the "right" number of divisions. The same should be done for the "bottom" of the tank (?).
