Importar DWG estructura volumétrica piedra-Import DWG stone volumetric structure

Buenas tardes,

Good afternoon,

My problem is: I need to develop a structural and earthquake-resistant analysis of the Puerta de las Granadas, a monument built with blocks of stone about 500 years ago.

I drew the volumetry with Autocad 2010, and my goal is to import it into the ROBOT program to start with the job. However, I can't import it in the right way. It appears as if it was a structure of lines, many of them displaced from their original place and others directly suppressed. In addition, it is imported as a block and not as individual pieces. I attach below a screen shot of the problem as well as the complete structure in DWG.

Thank you very much

You need to export model as SAT file

Please do not expect this can be well meshed by Robot and in reasonable time.

I suggest to use :

http://www.autodesk.com/products/nastran-in-cad/overview

or

http://www.autodesk.com/products/simulation-mechanical/overview

for volumetric calculations tasks

Thank you very much Rafal.Gaweda. I have tried the importation and it worked. I will get on with the work and if I have any question, I will tell you soon.

Again, thank you very very much

Good morning Rafal,

After importing the finished volumetric design, I have some more doubts about how to calculate the structure under an earthquake movement.

As you can see in the file attached, it is a building made by 3 different materials:

-Stone blocks

-Lime concrete between the blocks

-A big lime concrete filling in the middle of the building

I have created the different materials but now I don't know how to progress with it. My biggest questions now are:

1- How can I apply the material created to the stones in the structure?

2- Once I do that, how I should calculate the earthquake movement?

I would really appreciate if you could help me with that.

Thank you very much,

José Antonio
