huge displacement truss

Greetings,

1. So, i'm modelling a pipe rack, and there is a problem. the displacement for truss member is huge due to wind load simulation, what is wrong with the truss member? am i modelling it right? do i need to change profile or add additional bracing?

2. When i model a frame, with lateral bracing, do i need to split the member on intersection? or do i need to change member length and lateral buckling length on code parameters?

Thanks

1-Chords have  to be regulars bars (not truss) . huge displacements are due to the instability warnings your model is probably showing.

2- Chords do not need to be divided ,although I almost always do it. Then ,when verifying the members you can always create a "superbar" with all the bars that form the whole chord ,and give the code paremetersto this superbar
