Greetings,
I have a situation where i have an upstand beam which is connected a slab at the lower end, and is supporting trusses on the upper end, opposite side. Here is an image attached below:
To avoid instability errors, the beam would have to be split and a node created for each truss support. How do i reconcile that with a slab that requires a continuous support? Do i model the beam as supporting the slab with rigid links to the truss or as a wall which is subdivided at truss supports?
Any ideas on how to proceed?
