Is there a way to show true colors of only selected shell elements or f.ex. color of group that it belongs to, whilst non selected elements shown as wireframe? I would use it together with "display for selection" function for documentation.

This has been in my wishlist for years. 

Selection color overrides the bar color coding. It would be better to not have a color at all or a adjustable opacity for selection color.

It would be easier to produce images for documentation this way as Burbun noted.

I hope this gets air under its wings.
