Hiding a Structural Axis

This is a very low-level issue, so I thought I'd put it to anyone to address; I've gone through all the documentation associated with axes and haven't quite figured this out:

How do I hide a set of structural axes? I have defined axes in the X, Y, and Z planes, to help me build a simplified model for a project. But when I want to show a plan view, the Z-axes get all clumped up at one edge or another and it looks unfortunate / impossible to read. I've managed a work around by deleting those axes in the Structural Axis dialogue, but that's not an ideal solution.

Then I thought it might make sense to define those axes in a new category of structural axes: in the Structural Axis dialogue, I type a new Name at the top, clicked New at the bottom of the dialogue, and defined the Z-axes again. Now I have two -- I don't know what they're called? Structural Axis sets? -- in the Axis Manager, but if I check the second one (with my Z-axes defined in it) those axes aren't actually visible, even after clicking Apply.

If Artur or Pawel respond and would like the file I'm using to troubleshoot, please feel free to message me and I can pass this file along. Since it's for a project, I'd rather not share in the forum.

Thanks very much

Hi Mike,

there are no tools to hide specific structural axis.

If you want to show in a plan view only the elements from specific level (Z coordinate), then you can use "Projection XY" for specific Z (see the screen capture below) - for such projection the descriptions of structural axis perpendicular to it (i.e. along Z) are not displayed.

To make a set of structural axis visible it has to contain at least 2 structural axes in 2 directions - so to make your new set of structural axes visible you need to add to existing structural axes in Z at least 2 structural axes in X or in Y.

Moreover it is impossible to snap to intersections of structural axes from different sets:(
