Help Troubleshooting, (Error type 1 instability)

Hi all,

I am trying to model a lattice frame with pinned joints, I have added all the loads and have put all the releases as pinned-pinned. However I am getting instability type 1 error.

Does anyone know the root of this?

Please find the robot file attached.

Thanks all!

Oliver

Hi all, i'm coming across instability type 1 error when I try to model my 2D lattice radio tower, does anyone know where I am going wrong?

It may be to do with the releases for using the wrong model type?

Should lattice structures be modelled as a 2D truss or 2D frame?

Please find model attached.

Thank you al

Appreciate you're replies,

Oliver

If you want to make your structure work only with axial forces, change the structure type to 2d truss and you will be free of instabilities warnings.
