Flat slab design

Hi,

i was wondering if someone could help me. With regards flat slab design,

1. generally when you define the slab using a rectangle or contour to define the outline perimeter boundary of the slab you smap to the centreline of the column, however is there a way to make the slab edge allign with the outer face of the column? Rather than the centreline of the column? As this would be needed when checking for punching shear i assume?

2. Also, when defining a flat slab is there a way in robot of designing a dropped level in the floor slab, knuckle joint in slab ? I think i seen it previously in a webinar but can not find it now? I think they used rigis links? @Artur.Kosakowski

Anyones help would be appreciated.

many thanks,

Simon.

Hi, I got the first point sorted, its on the workflow for slabs webinar and you use rigid links or panel, however I am still looking for advice on point 2, aligning the slab edge with the column external face on external and corner columns? can this be down or do you just have to draw it that way? see attached for illustration? your help would be appreciated.
