Fixed Weld Connection

Hello,

i designed as a test a fixed beam-column weld connection, with a much larger beam section than the column. The connection shoud have failed since the beam flange shouldn't be able to be bigger than the column, but the software aproves the calculation.

Can someone explain to me why this is happening?

that the connection can be calculated even if the flange of the beam is wider seems normal.
On the other hand, to be sure, you can check in the results what is the area of the welds considered.

could you explain what failed ?
