column 58 with permanent load 

column 233 connected with column 58 (same displacement)

 

 

fire design: 

for column 58: temperature/time domain and resistance domain give the same results:   Tcrit = 692°C at 28.7min.  -  at 28.7min,  Ed = Rd 

 

for column 233 temperature/time domain and resistance domain give not the same results:  Tcrit = 350°C at 10.6min.  -  at 60min,  Ed = 0.75 Rd, Tmax 934°C.

Tmax > Tcrit but Rd>Ed

 

why column 233 not axially loaded does non have the same results in the two calculation methods?

For HEA500 I get the same sesults for both method (resistance, Tcrit and time limit).
For IPE600 : for resistance method: resistance verification 0.78, reached temperature = 934 °C; but for Temperature/time domain method Tcrit = 350 °C

Bar 233 is of class 4 therefore the critical temperature is limited on 350 whereas for the resistance domain method has got no such limit therefore IMHO you can't compare results.
