Finite Element Mesh Local Axis

Hi All,

I am designing a drainage pit using finite element. Is it necessary to have all surface having the same local axis direction?

Also, is it possible to change the local axis for all surface to be the same as the global axis?

Hi @Victor_Huang1

not necessary but preferable.

To change local axis:

Geometry > Properties > Local Panel Direction

Only if panel is on a XY global plane.

Because panel  Local Z will always be perpendicular to the panel plane
