Hi and happy new year!

 

 

regarding the FE maps results:

 

Is there some way to define the "Basic Scale" as default instead of the "Automatic scale"?. If not, is there any way to change the colours of the Automatic Scale?.

 

I know one can change the color of the scale and save the pallete as a personalised scale but the program always change to the "Automatic Scale" and I don't want to use those colours.

That would require creating new template files for structure types which you can display maps for. This I'm afraid cannot be done from an RSA user level but you may try the attached file for shells (compatible with RSA 2018). Mind to make a copy of the original file first so tat it can be restored in case of any issues with the attached one.

No, this is not possible.

My current version is 2017. I have tried the file (replacing the current shell.rtt (I have previously copied the original)) and it does not work. Could you provide the 2017 version?.

I'm sorry but I will not be able to do this for an older version of Robot Smiley Sad

 

What exactly didn't work - the scale or you are not able to work with a shell structure type in general?

Hi Artur,

 

the scale does not work. After replacing the file, the default scale is still the "Automatic scale". If I have not misunderstood, by replacing the file the default scale would be the "Basic scale" instead of "Automatic scale", isn't it?

That's my hope however it will apply to a new model started as a shell one.

I have tried starting a new one, but the automatic scale is the default... So it does not work. Maybe for the 2017 version...

 

Some days ago I was investigating a possible solution and I found the following, maybe not possible or wrong:

 

In RSA's folder \\....\CfgUsr the file "STANDARD" contains all the information regarding the default configuration of the project. If one creates a personalised configuration (personal, for instance) and opens the file, it can be found the following in the section [GRAPHICAL_ANALYSIS):

PatternsNo matches with the number of scales in the program, and the PatternsOrder seems the way in which the palletes are arrangered in the dialog box. 

 

The thing is: is it possible to change the order in the file?. Or this has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

I have done the same, and I get now the Basic scale as default, so the template works. 

 

However,  I want to use the colours pallete of the Basic Scale, which is shown in the following figure. In your video, the default scale seems the Basic Scale, but the colours are corresponding to the Automatic Scale...

Hi Artur,

 

I appreciate your answers as always.

It seems a problematic issue...

The thing is that the solution you proposed (replacing the template file *.RTT) does not work in my Robot. In addition, in the video you sent, the Basic pallete is the default, However, the colours does not change.... it remains from the Automatic pallete. I need to change the colours. 

Please, let me know if the alternative that I commented in post 7 of 11 is feasible. It seems that the pallete is controlled, in certain way, by this file. I would like to use up all the possibilities. If not, I will close the post.

I'll try to set the meeting with the dev team next week to check if there is any possibility to get what you need within the existing Robot options but the chances are rather small. Anyway lets give it a try.

I think it would be a good improvement in the program, and it may not be so difficult to solve... 

 

In my opinion, the maps results which are generated with the colours of the Automatic scale are not easy to understand (since the colours are very similar). And when a great number of captures need to be captured (using a pluging developed with the API) the only possibility is the Automatic scale. There would be two easy ways:

 

1) Replace the Automatic scale for the Basic scale as default configuration.

2) The Automatic scale is the default but it is possible to change its colours and save as user configuration.

Hi Artur.

 

Thank you for the file. Now, it works in my version. HOWEVER, if I run the macro to generate captures in batch, the maps are always shown in the "Automatic Scale".

 

Please, try the macro I attach. It is in spanish, but it is easy to understand. When the macro finishes a Word is generated with the figures.

This can only work for a newly created models which are started with the template I attached. The old models have the old one 'saved inside'.

I have started a new project with the new template and when execute the macro, the captures are generated in the Automatic Scale. 

 

Please, download the file attached. It includes the macro and an example model. You only have to execute the macro and verify that I am explaining.
