Discrepancies in results for rebar

Hi, 

I analysed a slab and found max moment to be over 3000kNm/m but when checking required reinforcement, the max area was 1342mm2/m. This area would provide less than 1000kNm/m resistance. Why would this happen?

Could you attach the model as well as screen capture showing what exactly to look at and your hand calculations?

It's OK actually. I realized its only a very small area in which the moment is very high

Try to display moments with reduction over supports as this is the default settings for reinforcement calculations as this may be the reason for the difference you noticed.
