Difference between moments in results tab and RC Design

Hi all,

I'm starting to use Robot and running some tests. I realized that the max negative moments given in the results tab is different from the one presented in the RC design, as shown in the imagens attached.

As seen, both max theoretical and redistributed negative moments shown in the RC design screen (0.33 KN.m) are diffrent from the diagrams in the results tab (0.50 KN.m). So I figure it's not the redistribution process causing this.

Can anyone help to understand.

Thanks

Hi @engenharia5EZVM9

In RC module Robot shows moment at column face. Column size is taken into account.

But considering this, doesn't it use a smaller moment than it should?

HI @engenharia5EZVM9

If you are using eurocode  2

5.3.2.2 (3) Where a beam or slab is monolithic with its supports, the critical design moment at the
support should be taken as that at the face of the support.

In fact, i'm using Eurocode as a reference, but the objective is to adapt to the Brazilian standards.

Many thanks!

Does Robot also consider the note in EC2 just below that paragraph, that says "The moment at the face of the support should not be less than 0,65 that of the full fixed end moment." ?

I'm doing some tests, and I managed to get in a span a negative moment for RC design less than 0.65 the full fixed end moment, so ... does Robot consider that?

Does anybody know this?
