Deep beam vs regular beam

Hi

Im trying to do a deep beam calculation and firstly want to double check the results compared to a regular beam if I use the wall tool.

I´ve modelled similar geometry just used a wall and other example a beam, when I try to figure out the moment in local y I get a certain value, but I have a hard time to translate the results from the wall and the nyy results which should present the "moment" force in plane direction.

How do I recieve the max moment in the wall scenario? is it the results (-17,93 kNm)?

See picture attached and the max moment on the normal beam, it differs alot.deep beam.jpg

HI @safet_iska

Please share this model for verification. Reduced moment for panel cut should present bending moment in wall element

Hi @safet_iska

In your model wall have different supports than beam.

Upper supports generates horizontal and vertical reactions (so it is a kind of fixed support)

Additionally to avoid horizontal reactions in bottom supports you have to release UX in one of them

See modified model with similar support systems.
