Column and Beam Reinforcement

Dear Structural Engineers & Autodesk Robot Analysis Professional Users,

I am facing a big challenge with my model. Unsatisfactory load capacity of the column is the message that I am getting. I am changing the cross section up to 1000 x 1000 mm and still getting the same message. This can not be possible to get a cross section of Column 1000 x 1000 mm in the model. 

I have attached the file.

May you help me to fix out the problem.

Hey

The RSA model is not attached in your post, only pictures.

Initial ideas is:

- Have you checked nodes are aligning?

- Have you by accident added load/moment to the column?

- What happens if you just delete the coloum and reinsert it? maybe change to steelsection and test.

- Have you specificed a very low concrete strength?

Hi

I'm almost sure that you have wrong loading value!!

Your reactionforces are insanely high, millions of kN!.

As i can see you are applying forces on planer in kN/mm2 not m2.
