Hello,
Could you please help me understand the results Robot is giving when using mass points and accelerations?
I have a simple 1 m cantilever beam model. It has a fixed support on one end and a mass point with rotational properties defined only on the other end.
In the first load case (LC1) I apply 1.0g linear acceleration along the +Z axis of the system.
Can someone explain why it would generate any bending moment in the beam as this is not the expected result? It seems that upon applying the linear acceleration Robot simply generates a nodal moment corresponding with value and direction to the specified mass point moment of inertia, which is incorrect.
Moreover, in the second load case (LC2) I apply angular acceleration of 1 rad/s2 about Y axis and the origin (0,0,0; node no. 1) and in return I get no bending moment at all.
What is going on here?
Regards,
Michal
