Bottom moment on the wall

Hello,

I've modelled a line of  rc wall(1.80m high) and with load of 5 kN@5.0m c/c at the top(COMB1),I expect that the bottom moment is high but it doesnt(pls. see attached file).

any help will be reatly appreciated

Hi @saclovitzky

Check the deformation.

You need to Fixed Rx in your support.

@CaioSaporito will it not work as joint support(fy/fz)?

No, because it is hypostatic. Foundation needs to absorb the moment caused by the 5kN load.

At least Rx need to be blocked beside Fy/Fz

@CaioSaporito pls. see screenhot, the nodal support is model since the 200mmthk rc wall are supported by dowel bars at its centers

Hi @saclovitzky.

I don't know exactly what the support details are like. But you need something to resisting the bending moment due to lateral load.

Best regards,

Caio

Hi @saclovitzky

I agree with @CaioSaporito .

Your screenshot is not very clear.
We don't really know what element is facing the overturning.
Could you do a simple skecth showing dowels and there support conditions
