Bending moment diagram for bar elements with interpolation problems

I have modeled a building floor with beams and slabs. 

 

After meshing the slabs with shell elements the bar elements were automatically subdivided to match the shell nodes. However, some calculation points were created in the bar elements and at these points it seems to have some interpolation problems. 

 

The bending moment diagram is showing some “peaks” at these points as show on the figures bellow. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

can you send the model?Save it with another name ,without results and zip it

There claddings over panels everywhere. They can exist in the same model but not overlapping each other at the same plane.Also remember that claddings have to be totally flat.

Always set the 1st run (or always) to use the " automatic " solver as it can detect all kinds of instabilities. I´ve done that and it reports a type 2 instability at node 1027.

You have to correct the model , get rid of instabilities. The problem you reported occurs in a place where there are cladding and panel at the  same spot.Choose one according to your needs

 

Turn off kinematic constraints on job preferences/meshing. Always seek for a coherent mesh when using meshed panels.

 

Did this model come from Revit?

  1. In fact, there are panels and claddings overlapping in the model, but the panels were "ignored" from claddings in the load distribution options, as shown on the figure below, so the claddings are loading only bars.

Some cladding corners are not loading bars, there is no problem.

 

  1. I’ve always used “automatic” solver and none instability type 2 were found. I’ve only found one instability type 3.

 

  1. I turned off kinematic constraints as you suggested,  erased the original meshed and meshed all panels again. After processing the model the problems of discontinuity in bending moment diagram were solved.
