ASCE 10-97 Code

Good day,

I have to check a lattice steel structure for a substation according ASCE 10-97 code. I can't see that code in Robot, is there any possibility to include it in the program in order to check the structure?

I have checked it according to AISC360-05 code, but the client is asking for the other code.

Thanks in advance!

You need to know the reason behind why he needs to check it in the old codes.

Presently, you can check it to ASCE-05/10/16. Convinced him and enlightened him, it is much better

to check it to the latest edition of the code.

I think it is about the way the use to work, but you are right that there is no reason to work with an old code.

On the other hand do you know it there is any way to check with ASCE 05/10/16 on Robot?

Thanks for your help!

Hi  sbvHJCLF,

It is possible to change the code --> Job preferances, Design codes, pull down menu for steel and click more, see screen. There are several codes for the US.

I hope this will help you!

Yes, I know how to change the code, but my question is when you need to use a code that is not in the list.

Thanks for your help!

Then you have to check by hand calc. or the code spreadsheets that you have.
