ARS2016 – Desktop Settings

Dear Colleagues

I am trying to use the defaults desktop settings (ARS2016) as shown in the attached video. But I have gotten corrupted settings. Only (OCEAN & BASIA) are working and all of the other settings stuck on them.

Knowing that I have installed SP1(ARS2016) .

Also, I have (ARS2015) on the same computer and it is working perfectly.

Pls , May I know , what is the reason of that ?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Try to play with video acceleration parameters, in the robot preferences.

Cheers

Try to rename your CfgUsr folder for Robot 2016.

Dear Artur

I have tried both ideas (play with display acceleration & rename Cfg. File) on another computer (workstation). Unfortunately, still doesn’t work.
Kindly , take a look to the attachments .

I'm sorry I should have given you the full path to this folder but as it was referred to on this forum and indicated in the last Robot webinar I assumed it is already well known to anybody Smiley Sad

CfgUsr is located in C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2016 directory. Rename it to e.g. 1_CfgUsr and rename Cfg folder you changed name to CfgUsr (visible on the rename movie) back to Cfg.

Hi,

I played with the desktop settings and it has changed the background and model colours. I think i depressed the standard button and it changed the colour settings (see attached). I normally use the deep blue setting.

Can you advise how i can get the default deep blue setting back?

See attached files.

Thank you

Eric
