(API) Storey Stability Index Calculation

The calculation of the storey stability index Q is based on clause 10.14.4 of the National Standard of Canada CSA A23.3:19 “Design of concrete structures”. I hope this small macro will help Canadian Robot users.
General Usage Instructions
- Modify the moment of inertia for all structural members. It is recommended to use the IModifier to speed up the process.
- Make sure that storeys are defined in the model.
- Input manual load combination number in cell B2. It is assumed that the load combination contains lateral forces.
- Run analysis.
- Press the Get Results button.
Assumptions
For each storey Robot returns results in global X and Y directions. These results are reported in columns Vfx, Vfy, Δox, Δoy. However, for Q calculation the program uses the Square Root of the Sum of the Squares procedure to determine Vf and Δo.
