(API) Macro: Creation of quasi T & L RC beams

Hi,

I developed small macro with custom functions which will help to create quasi T & L r.c. beams in accordance with the Artur's proposal mentioned in threads:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Robot-Structural-Analysis/T-slab/m-p/3185418

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Robot-Structural-Analysis/Beam-offsets/m-p/3332921

Just input data in green cells and select the desired type of section to generate it in Robot. A section will be created with the special name. For example:

"Stole" Romanich's work and added some support for EC2. Hope that's OK, Romanich?

Sounds great,  but how can someone actually use it?

Can someone please describe a step by step procedure? and at which stage of the design someone can use it?

Is it something like this you want:

1. Decide what code to use, EC og ACI - ACI seem to have less parameter input than EC.

2. Input necassary parameters to find the L/T beam ratio.

3. Export your section to Robot from Excel

4. Create a slab in RSAP (Dimensions should have been thaught about when creating your section in Excel from point 2)

5. Create beams, with the section you created in Excel, in your slab.

6. Apply boundary conditions

7. Calculate

hi. Romanich. I do not understand the value of x? Why are 2, 3, 4. I'm just a beginner. Thank you!

Xin chào @ledinhchinh0409

Yes and yes. I have been working in Vietnam approximately 1 year, in HCM. If you have an open position, just drop me a line. My bags are already packed.

Dear @Romanich

Can we improve to automatically determine the T-L beam after the floor has been drawn?

You know what type it is based on where you want it in your slab. On the the boundary it will be a L and somewhere in the slab it will be a T.
