How to use: run addin, select bars, select combinations, push button, wait result, run structure correction to merge overlapping nodes.

Addin considers global or local coordinate system, eccentricity, absolute or relative coordinate, angles.

I do not understand the purpose of it but nice try.
I will add it to our list
NOTE: it works for simple case, not for combinations as written above

My problem was that it was necessary to move beams and loads left in same place, but loads were originally made as concentrated forces on bars.

Another potential use for this:

If you have a global model for a large building, where the columns are simply supported on nodes, and the foundation elements were not originally modelled.

Now you want to design the capping beam, footings, etc. but you don't need to be revising the global analysis model.

I think I will try this: Define my capping beam bars, and pile cap nodes; then convert the bar forces to point loads on nodes that sit on the bar / the nodes representing the pile cap, and then delete the global structural model. This would greatly reduce the size of the model, and let you crack on with a substructure analysis and design.

Perhaps I'm wrong about how this will work though 😂 I have to try it.
