Additional Transversal Reinforcements

Hello,

Can someone from Autodesk indicate to me if the additional tranversal reinforcement for RC columns from the reinforcement template of Robot can be restricted for it not to be considered after clicking the "start calculation" icon?

Thanks

Alex

Hello,

Attached are the screenshot that I am referring to. Whenever I place 8 longitudinal bars and with normal square transversal stirrups I get the additional stirrups shown on screenshot 36 after clicking on start calculation for the RC column. Can these additional stirrups be restricted somehow since I am designing this structure for an non seismic area and I we prefer not to place in this additional stirrups for this specific structure?

Regards,

AC

1. After the initial generation of reinforcement select the stirrups you consider as excessive and delete them

2. Freeze reinforcement

3. Calculate reinforcement again

Hello Artur,

Thanks for the explanatory video. I have noted that once the reinforcement is freeze, then after we calculate once more the error message comes out stating (The freeze reinforcement "option is switched on. The distribution of reinforcement has not been modified"). So do I need to ignore this message? If the transversal steel was not enough or if another error or warning was picked up by Robot, would this be shown after freezing the reinforcement?

Thanks,

AC

The lack of column capacity should be detected and displayed as an error but the other provisions like e.g. maximal allowable spacing may not be.
