Hi,

Does Revit have a standard Z purlin family that I can load or find in my project ?

*Correction I am trying to find a specific size which they don't have"

It sounds like you will need to make a custom family then. If the size/shape is not in the default library then you will have to make a custom family with the size(s) that you need.

You could make a copy of the default family, give it a different name and edit the Type Catalog as required. Remember, the Type Catalog file must be named the same as the RFA family (different extension). Make sure to edit the Type Catalog in Excel as a CSV file.

I am pretty sure if you know and could put in the data in the txt document, you can add custom sizes ones.

Locate this file wherever you save them, but locally this is where it is. Add the dimensions required.
