Wall/Footing Tags That Show Width?

Hi All,

See below - I cobbled together what I wanted for a project today, but wanted to see if someone has a better option.

I used a dimensional style to make a "tag-like" callout for the wall and footing dimensions, that showed the extents of the width of each element.

And to be clear, I know I can make a tag that has the "Width" parameter as part of its label, but I really want what the dimension shows, where it's attached to both sides of the width.

I know we can tag floors and beam systems with an arrow that shows the extents of the element, but I'm guessing there's no such tag that I can make for a wall or footing, correct? I can just make a shape with a leader, not something that can latch onto elements of the wall or the footing?

It's a hassle making the dimensional styles for both a wall and a footing, then using each and switching between the two and making sure I don't make any mistakes, so it would be nice to just make a tag instead.

Thanks!

Unless you add the dimensions line components ad lines in the Tag Family and have a stretch type approach the only other way I have used is to is to either;

Create separate Tag and Dimension elements and line them up as best I can just on a ad-hoc scenario using your eye

or

Create the Dimension and Double Click to edit and add additional Text in the Suffix or Prefix fields

@jay_colc Thanks, I was thinking that was probably the case, just wish there was a way to get Auto-Extents like the beam systems.
