Visibility Settings & Parameters within a Family

Hello All!

I am working on a template for elevators in Revit 2024, and am having trouble configuring some of the parameters. For elevators, you can either have a lefthand opening or a righthand opening, and we already have parameters set up for most of the elements within the elevator to change depending on where the door opens. The problem that I am having is I have a combo bracket, which is a generic face-based model, that I need to switch sides based on which side the elevator opens on. We already have a parameter in the project that's a yes/no check box so if the box is checked it's a lefthand opening and if it's not it's a right hand.

My thought was that I could put two of the combo brackets in and have a different visibility setting for each of the brackets so if the check box was checked one would show and the other would not. I would think I would have to put an instance parameter into the family or have two different brackets within the family before placing into the project, but that's just my thought process. Would anyone know if this is possible and/or how to accomplish this?

You could simply setup a rule which meant if it is not one Visibility Parameter it defaults to the other
