In Portugal, for the past years there has been a heavy use of Robot Structural Analysis in the northern region Universities, in Classes an Thesis, and that resulted on a major option for that design software on companies in this region. On the Center/Southern side of Portugal, there is a tendency to use CSI SAP on the university, and that also reflect on the software option for structural design. Now we are in the BIM era, and not only it is being aproached in thesis but is also being introduce in the university programs. Revit is already well known, Navisworks not so much, but Vault is completely unheard in portugal and i think it has great potential and it is one of the main subjects of BIM, the collaborative platform and deliverables control. How can students pass that knowledge to the companies if they can´t get accss to the resources? Also, using BIM without a server in the cloud is very limited nowadays and A360 or plm360 aren't available as collaboration tools in the cloud in Portugal.
Can Vault Pro Student license be granted to universities?
I already adressed this issue to Education Community Support, but they directed me here. I wanted to grant the use of this software to students that are taking a class that is already taking place in Oporto about BIM, in wich students have to develop BIM projects in collaboration teams.
