Shape handles disappear when i make a modification to a structural framing member.

Why is this? Can this be changed?

I have attached some screen shots below explaining the problem i am facing.

The shape handles have disappeared from my beam. This occurs when i make a modification or connection to the other end of the structural member. in this case i made a contour cut at the other end shown in image 2.

Hi @djn9SY84

This is because a connection or anything from the steel tab changes the behaviour of the section into a steel fabrication format. Eveything about the steel fabrication format can be found in this help page - https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-8381A08F-CBCD-4215-AB36-82648C07B8F6
