My background is in architectural but I have been helping out with structure quite a bit lately to get things done for an upcoming deadline.
One thing I came across which I find weird is that structural columns do not show up in detail views if the extent/depth of the view does not encapsulate the bottom of the column. You can see in the image the extent goes just below the bottom of the column. If I move it up at all the column disappears in the plan detail.
You can also see the top and bottom constraints are both referencing from Level 2.
Does anyone know why this happens? Or what the reasoning is for it to be this way?
