Steel Joist Top Chord cantilever extension. (Doesn't show plan view linework representation).

Does anyone have the Start Extension/End Extension showing up in plan view correctly? The extension shows up in 3D view. it does NOT show up in plan view.  Need the extensions to show in plan view with these joist families.

i know the Web joist projection line needs to be edited in the families. however, i've only gotten it to work correctly in the k joist family.

A quick check with the LH-Series & BG Series shows it working as expected both have a Construction Start & End Offset of 1000mm  Is it related to the view and you cannot see the Top Chord?

Correct.  the extension parameters work as expected. however, the projection line in plan view is non-existent.

As i said before, the actual modeled elements show up in 3D view. (in 3D view you can see the extension).

in plan view the extension is absent.

you must be working with an altered/updated revit family. someone in your office must have modified the family to include the proper coarse LOD projection lines to be visible in plan view.

i don't believe your family is OOTB.

This is an OOTB Family for Revit 2023 i never use these families so there is no need to change them.

They are from the UK library not US.  you can download and check from Insert Tab  > Load Autodesk Family > Change the Region

I just downloaded the US version and works fine
