Steel Beam Model Cope (modify)

I need help modifying a Steel Beam that Modeling in one of our projects. I need to cope the beam so It's cut and continuous similar like a joist extension.  Try the cope but all it does is cuts the the beam around the main steel beam, so cope does not work for what I am trying to accomplish. I have posted some pics so you can have an idea what I am trying to do. One is the 2d a on I how it should look and pic from the model.

Hi @WEC17 

In the Steel tab (in Revit 2019 & 2020) there is a function called Contour cut, this will allow you to sketch the shape of the cut you require, i have created a screencast, see below
