We currently show structural elements under using an 'under' plan with solid fills, however if i use a solid fill in the plan above the solid fill in the plan below disapperas even though it isn't covering it - is this expected behaviour

i believe if an item is Hidden or "Below" another object so it is displaying as Hidden, the Projection and Cut Pattern (Solid Fill, Hatch, Concrete, etc... ) is removed. all you can do is edit edit the Line type used to display the hidden lines.

Thank you for the response.

This only happens when i insert a solid fill in the plan over otherwise the display of line types and hatching is correct for a single plan.

just wanna check how you have produced that plan, are you using 3 view technique method ?

Refer image below with the 3 view technic method, you can get it right looking.

is something similar you are trying to achieve ?
