Does anyone have a suggestion for which rebar detailing add-on is better? I have used CADS for rebar detailing in AutoCAD in the past and really liked it, but Revit is a totally different beast. I hear good things about Sofistik but am not as familiar with the product. Any advice is appreciated.

Hello Scottjames121,
well, clearly I cannot give an objective answer to this as I am working for SOFiSTiK AG 🙂
However you maybe interested in this: we provide some free webinars/webinar recordings regarding our softwares.
They can be found here: https://www.sofistik.com/infocenter/webinars
Maybe this can help you make up your mind!

Sofistik Rebar Detailing for Revit is the most reliable and trustworthy. It is the only one worth spending your money on. I've tried Graitec (too complex and too automatic), Naviate Rex (very nice at automatic modelling, but bad at detailing). Sofistik is just like german cars. It won't fail you.
P.S. There is also Soficad (made by Sofistik). It does rebar detailing in Autocad. Just saying....
