Show Hidden Lines - Works in Live Views, Does not Work in Drafting Views

The show hidden lines command is not working for me in a drafting view, but does work in a live view.

Below is the screenshot of the function working correctly in a 3d view:

But when trying to complete the same command (show hidden lines) in a drafting view , no hidden line appears:

I have made sure that the drafting view is set to hidden line visual style and other items, but I am out of ideas.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks

New development, the hidden lines show when printed to PDF... no idea what is happening visually.

Strange, can confirm that. Hidden lines in drafting views can be seen as pdf not live.

Weird, going to try revit 2020 to see if the issue was fixed at all.

Revit 2020.1.0.81:

In drafting view: Hidden lines not visible, in pdf hidden lines are visible

In live view: Hidden lines are visible, in pdf hidden lines are visible.

Hi,

The drafting View is not the part of Model Design, From your Image i got that it is Visual Style... not Show Hidden lines which will come on Model views like 3Dviews, Floor plans, Sections..etc, if u need hidden line u have to draw it manually..by using Detail line

Check below link to get to know about it..

I created a post and a member helped me find the answer. Apparently you can’t have any transparent filled region in the drafting.

drawing using line can be time consuming if for some reason the design needs to change.
