Revit cant use changing concrete cover for sketch rebar constraint?

hello, I'm trying to model the reinforcement for the widening part of my I beam, but when setting constraints for my rebars, revit wont allow me to select the cover as a reference. Maybe because that cover is changing ? Thanks

It's working with me !

I used sketch rebar and i used constrain to adujt the rebar to cover

I think that you was able to set the constrain in the part of the girder without the widening, just like I was also able. The problem is setting the constrain in the widening part.

It's because the segment plane is not parallel to the face.

The rule for a segment to constrain to a concrete face is for the segment plane to be parallel to the face OR for the actual segment (line) to be at the intersection of the segment plane and the concrete face.

Hi, Ovidiu, thanks for the reply.
So, basically, I cant constraint rebars in the widening of a I girder so I can use the varying rebar set ? I would have to model which one individually and, if I changed the dimensions of the girder, those wouldnt automatically adapt?
