REVIT 26 SEARCH FUNCTION

Hello, is there some way to change the settings for the search function in Revit 26. I have a project with levels named BLDG G LEVEL G, BLDG A LEVEL G, ETC. When I search level g the search function ignores the location of the g, so it gives me every view or level because they all have a G at the end of BLDG. I want to force the search function to search exactly what I type and not assume I want a different orientation. If I wanted to search for bldg level I would type g level sure. But when Im searching for all "LEVEL G" in the project I don't want it showing all 48 or so levels. 12 buildings with 3-6 levels apiece. So is there any settings for the search function I can change, because the basic settings are just ignorantly set. I have included a screenshot of the problem

I don't believe there's any syntax that allows you to perform space-inclusive/exact sequence searches.

Lowest effort workaround would be to remove the space character (LevelG) or to replace it with a different character (Level_G). You could try tracking down a blank character from the Character Map to see if that works, but I'd be hesitant to mess with special characters.

Yeah alt+030 works for a blank character. But I don't want to adjust my naming because Revit was programed illogically . Mostly I just want the search function to behave in a logical way but Ive never seen any settings for it. A lot of software allows something like "Level G" to force only that search, but Revit recognizes " as an allowed character in search because of things like family names or view names that include the scale.

This seems like a thing to propose via Revit Ideas - even if it's just a toggle that handles encasing the phrase to keep the user from having to learn another syntax.

Hi @C-Nasta ,

It sounds like you were able to confirm the current behavior, even though it isn't quite the outcome you were hoping for. Did the information shared here help answer your question? If so, please consider marking the most helpful reply as the Accepted Solution so others looking into the same behavior can find the answer more easily.
