Revit 2025/2026: Cannot Use "Add/Remove Host" After Tagging Bending Detail

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue in Revit 2025 and Revit 2026 related to the "Add/Remove Host" command after applying a TAG to a rebar detail using the "Bending Detail" command.

The issue: After using "Bending Detail" with a TAG, I can no longer access the "Add/Remove Host" option when selecting the TAG. The option is simply no longer available.

It's important to note that in Revit 2024, this workflow worked perfectly — I was able to use the "Add/Remove Host" command even after applying the "Bending Detail" with a TAG.

To better illustrate the issue, I've included an video comparing the behavior in Revit 2024 and Revit 2025, showing how it used to work and what’s happening now.

My question:
Is it still possible to use the "Add/Remove Host" command after applying a "Bending Detail" with a TAG in the newer versions? Was this change intentional, or is it a bug?

I've also attached two comparison images (Revit 2024 vs. Revit 2025) clearly showing the difference in behavior, as well as a .RVT file with the view for anyone who wants to run tests.

Thank you all in advance for your attention and help with this question!

I think the Issue here is in 2024 there was only a one option for the display of the Bending Detail

In 2025 another was added

In 2025 with Schematic you can Add from the Contextual Toolbar when placing

Alternatively via the Tag

I think it relates the the System Family for the Tag between Realistic and Schematic in the Bending Detail
