Revit 2022 ifc export, missing parts!

Hi all,

I have exported an ifc file from RVT 2022 model. When I open the ifc file in Navisworks it shows all elements and holes properly, however, when I open the ifc file with RVT itself it doesn`t show the holes!

I have checked the visibility graphics in RVT as well but still no results!

I would be grateful if you could let me know which part I`ve missed.

Thanks in advance for your attention,

Greetings,

Hamid

I used Revit 2021.

This happens when opening IFC (File>Open>IFC)

This happens when linking IFC (Insert>Link IFC)

When linking Revit creates an rvt file with same name as the ifc (e.g IFCproject.ifc to IFCfproject.ifc.rvt).

After linking you can open this rvt as you would normally.

Revit uses two separate pieces of code when linking or opening an IFC.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Thanks a lot @L.Maas for the explanation,

So I link the ifc file and then I open the corresponding RVT file that is created.

I wish you the best,

Hamidreza
